The operational area expands. Miss Time begins her work.
Helsinki Telephone Association bought small telephone companies, those of Pitäjänmäki, Mellunkylä, Pakila, Viherlaakso, Kilo and Vantaa, for instance.
In the winter of 1939, the Telephone Association purchased the entire share capital of Uudenmaan Puhelin Oy. The company's network spanned from Kauklahti to Inkoo and from Veikkola to Porkkala.
Germany and England adopted the use of telex machines in the 1930's. Telex machines arrived in Finland after the WW2. The most popular service number of all times, Miss Time, begins.
