BackElisa's new field work control service improves the efficiency of controlling mobile working

Elisa will introduce a new field work control service to the market. With the service, companies can, in real-time, monitor their mobile work-related deliveries, resources and field work processes. The service clarifies work controlling, bringing clear cost savings to companies.
Elisa's field work control service, introduced to the market in October, is designed to particularly meet the needs of SMEs. It is a cost-effective solution for controlling and monitoring mobile work, such as cleaning, guarding, delivery and inspection tasks, as well as simple installation and maintenance work.
With the system, the tasks are directly transferred to the mobile phones of employees in the field. The work instructions are always available and no separate terminal devices or printed work orders are required. Task controlling becomes easier, resource controllability improves and work processes become faster. The management of exceptional situations improves because with the field work control service, an employee or a group of employees can be supplied with information about the work site, tasks and schedules in real time. The service includes a form for automatically reporting information, completed tasks, work hours and costs compiled from the field.
- The information and task acknowledgments are entered in the system only once, the information contains fewer errors, the invoicing delay becomes shorter, and actual cost savings are gained, as the need for support function resources becomes smaller, says Tapani Lehtinen, Head of Department at Elisa.
Elisa's new field work control service is particularly intended for SMEs which cannot obtain a field work control system tailored for them, and which are satisfied with a service without integration to background systems. The service is also suitable for larger companies wanting restricted functionalities with large user volumes.
The field work control solution is supplied to the customer as an online service, where Elisa's field work control solution application is uploaded to the customer's mobile phones. Using the service does not require the customer to make any separate equipment or server investments, or to commit to long-term service or maintenance contracts. The service is invoiced with monthly fees.
