BackElisa and partners create a new era of mobile marketing

Elisa has launched a mobile marketing programme through which, starting from today, Saunalahti mobile subscription users have the opportunity to receive valuable benefits to their subscription from Elisa and selected partners. Saunalahti EtuOhjelma is based on a unique, user-friendly mobile marketing model where advertisers' messages are shown directly on the mobile phone screen.
With the EtuOhjelma, advertisers can allocate and measure their marketing communication more accurately than before. Elisa also offers the programme for advertisers as a turnkey solution where Elisa is in charge of the comprehensive implementation of the programme and the messages. The first companies utilising the EtuOhjelma include strong Finnish and international consumer brand companies, such as Aarikka, Egmont, Fanta, Hufvudstadsbladet, Leaf and Universal Music.
Through the programme, Saunalahti subscription users receive electronic offers to their mobile phones, entitling the users to a discount when they purchase a product or service at a store or online. Receiving the offers only requires the user to download the free EtuOhjelma application in their phone.
This is a natural programme for consumers, as instead of separately-opened text or multimedia messages, the EtuOhjelma is clearly positioned as a separate area at the bottom of the mobile phone screen. If desired, the user can view the benefits in more detail by clicking on them.
- For brand owners, the EtuOhjelma is a unique communication channel giving the opportunity to engage in a close interaction with consumers. In future, the intention is to develop the programme together with users and partners, says Mikael Rönnblad, in charge of Elisa's service and advertisement business.
- Our subscription customers have requested that they receive offer and benefit information directly to their phone. This will be a substantial advantage for the users, as several partners have shown their interest towards offering special benefits to our subscription customers. Involving partners in the process enables more inexpensive prices for our customers, says Rönnblad.
