BackReaktor and Elisa develop the Oma Elisa online service together with customers

Reaktor Innovations and Elisa have built the Oma Elisa service, intended for self-service by corporate and private customers of Elisa Corporation. Oma Elisa is used by hundreds of thousands of Elisa's private customers and thousands of companies. With the top-quality self-service portal, customers can manage their own mobile phone and broadband subscriptions.
By using the service, introduced last year, Elisa's customers can monitor their phone bills themselves, for example, and order mobile phone and broadband connections and related additional services. In a single location, corporate customers can start and end employees' mobile phone and broadband connections, edit additional services and order mobile phone equipment.
- With Oma Elisa, we can offer a new and easy way for our customers to manage their subscriptions and to take care of their business around the clock. The reliability and functionality of the service has been verified in cooperation with our customers, says Samuli Volanen, in charge of electronic services at Elisa's Corporate Customers Unit.

That was the right call: As a result of Reaktor's know-how, Oma Elisa has been a highly successful IT project. We have achieved or exceeded the set objectives. The Oma Elisa service was developed using agile software development methods. Through such agile methods, it can be ensured that the software meets the actual needs of the users. During the Oma Elisa development process, Elisa's customers supplied feedback on the service, and improvements to the service were made accordingly every two weeks.
- Our customers have given us a lot of positive feedback on this approach. Customers find it exceptional that the feedback they give is almost immediately shown in the operations of the online services. In future, the service will also be developed based on customer needs, says Volanen.
