BackElisa Firewall service provides companies with data security over the network

Elisa will now supply corporate customers with a new kind of data security service where firewall services are produced as centralised services over the network. The firewall service is updated over the network, guaranteeing a continuously up-to-date data security level for the customer. The service can be easily expanded and does not require any equipment investments by the customer.
- Before this, firewall services have been provided using customer-specific equipment. Now, the customer does not have to make any equipment investments; instead, we can supply a well-managed service that meets customer requirements and needs. The service will increase the productivity of the customer’s business by introducing cost-efficiency, says Kari Terho, Elisa’s Vice President of Network and Security Services.
The Elisa Firewall service is the right choice for companies of all sizes. The service is easy to expand, and the capacity supplied to the customer can be quickly increased in case the company’s operating environment changes. The service also enables different additional features, such as a service that identifies network attacks.
The Elisa Firewall service will be implemented by using Juniper Networks technology. Service delivery will be managed and controlled using the Software as a Service model, which also covers reporting on allowed and prohibited traffic.
