HPY Research Foundation
HPY Research Foundation supports scientific studying, teaching and development of telecom technology, telecommunications and data communications in Finland, and brings public attention to the research results. The support for the above purposes takes the form of grants and rewards. The operations of the foundation, which was established by the Helsinki Telephone Corporation, are independent of the company. Professor Martti Tiuri, Member of Parliament, acts as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Foundation.
The Foundation's original capital is ten million Finnish marks. The general-purpose fund comprises the yield from the original capital, donations and other possible forms of income.
